You Can Live Again Awards Gala 2026 Celebrates Resilience and Inspiration in Dallas with Laz Alonso and LeeAnne Locken

The 2026 You Can Live Again Awards Gala brought an evening of inspiration, elegance, and purpose to the House of Blues Dallas on Sunday, October 11. Presented under the theme A Night of Prestige, the black-tie celebration recognized individuals whose stories of perseverance, leadership, and personal transformation continue to inspire others.

We were on hand to capture the occasion, documenting the people and moments surrounding a celebration that was about much more than awards and recognition.

The evening brought together entertainment personalities, community leaders, entrepreneurs, philanthropists, and supporters united by a message of hope: No matter what challenges life presents, there is always an opportunity to rebuild, rediscover purpose, and begin again.

Adding Hollywood star power to the celebration were actor Laz Alonso, known for his roles in The Boys, Avatar, and Jumping the Broom, and television personality LeeAnne Locken of The Real Housewives of Dallas, who were announced as the evening’s co-hosts.

WFAA’s Good Morning Texas personality Erin Hunter was tapped to host the red carpet, while America’s Got Talent illusionist Danny Zzzz was featured on the entertainment lineup, bringing another dimension to an evening built around celebration and inspiration.

At the heart of the event was You Can Live Again founder and CEO Kertrina Dauway, whose vision has helped create a platform recognizing people who have turned adversity into opportunity.

The gala’s mission extends beyond the spotlight. By honoring individuals who have overcome obstacles and made meaningful contributions to their communities, You Can Live Again reinforces the importance of resilience, healing, and using personal experiences to uplift others.

The celebration also carried a charitable purpose, with organizers announcing that a portion of the proceeds would benefit the Boys & Girls Club and the You Can Live Again Foundation, helping extend the evening’s impact into the community.

For those in attendance, A Night of Prestige represented more than an opportunity to dress up and celebrate achievements. It was a reminder that success is not always measured by where someone begins, but by the courage, determination, and commitment it takes to move forward.

We captured the evening through our lens, highlighting the faces, fashion, and meaningful moments behind a celebration dedicated to second chances and the power of perseverance.
