The Japanese Men’s National Team took another step in its preparations for the 2026 FIFA World Cup on Monday night, welcoming fans to an open training session at Geodis Park in Nashville.
Hundreds of supporters gathered at Nashville SC’s training facility, known as “The Castle,” to watch the squad go through warmups, technical drills, and light conditioning as excitement continues to build ahead of the tournament.
Earlier this year, the Japan Football Association announced it had selected Nashville and Nashville SC’s training complex in Antioch as the team’s World Cup base camp, making Music City a key part of Japan’s preparations.
The open session provided local fans with a rare opportunity to see one of the world’s top national teams up close before competition begins.
Japan will open its World Cup campaign on June 14 against the Netherlands as part of Group F play.
