Nashville SC delivered a dominant performance Tuesday night at GEODIS Park, defeating Atlético Ottawa 5-0 to secure a 7-0 aggregate victory and advance to the Concacaf Champions Cup Round of 16.
Despite only needing a draw to move on, the Boys in Gold attacked from the opening whistle, pressing relentlessly and controlling both sides of the ball. Five different players found the back of the net in a complete team performance.
Alex Muyl opened the scoring in the 21st minute, finishing from close range after a deflected header. Jordan Knight added his first goal for the club before halftime with a powerful strike from the right. Woobens Pacius, Jack Maher, and Ahmed Qasem each added second-half goals, while Bryan Acosta, Shak Mohammed, and Reed Baker-Whiting all contributed assists — Baker-Whiting marking his Nashville debut with a clean sheet and first assist.
Midfielder Matthew Corcoran played a key creative role, helping spark the opening two goals with precise passing and composure beyond his years. Though credited with one assist, his vision and control set the tone early and highlighted Nashville’s growing midfield depth.
With 11 goals scored in three matches this season and just one conceded, Nashville is off to its strongest start in club history. The emphatic win sets up a highly anticipated Round of 16 clash with Inter Miami CF, as the Boys in Gold prepare for one of their biggest tests yet.
GEODIS Park will be ready. And so will Nashville.
