St. Louis CITY SC suffered a narrow 1–0 loss to Seattle Sounders FC on Saturday night at Energizer Park. CITY controlled much of the first half, outshooting Seattle 8–2 while completing 90% of their passes, but the match remained scoreless at halftime. Kalani Kossa-Rienzi broke the deadlock just two minutes into the second half, scoring in the 47th minute for Seattle. St. Louis continued to push forward and finished the match with 70% possession, but were unable to find an equalizer before the final whistle. CITY SC now travels to California to face Los Angeles FC at BMO Stadium on Saturday, March 14, with kickoff set for 9:30 p.m. CT.
